AMC Student & Faculty Member are Keynote Speakers in International Conference
International Symposium on Guided Imagery and Music (GIM)/Music and Imagery (MI)

On January 14, 2012, the Arts Education Therapy Institute (AETI) celebrated its third anniversary and held its first international event at Ewha Graduate School of Education in Seoul, South Korea, where Director of Anna Maria College's Institute of Music and Consciousness, Dr. Lisa Summer, was featured as a keynote speaker. AMC graduate student, Jiyeon Nam, also shared about her experience as an international student in the Institute of Music and Consciousness's Graduate Certificate Program in Music and Imagery.

Dr. Lisa Summer was collaborating with AETI in Seoul on behalf of the Institute of Music and Consciousness as a part of GIM trainings.  In the conference themed "Cultural and Clinical Aspects of GIM and MI work in Asia", she gave a keynote speech titled Helen Bonny's Pioneering Work in GIM. Ms.Nam, presented the paper entitled Understanding Cultural Differences as a Korean Music and Imagery Trainee in the United States and received positive reviews from the audience.

Dr. Summer and Ms.Nam, also presented at the Level 1 and Level 3 Guided Imagery and Music Seminar at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China and Level 3 Guided Imagery and Music Seminar, also at Ewha Woman's University in Seoul, South Korea.
