Anna Maria College announces that several of its social work students will once again be attending Social Work Day at the United Nations. This year’s theme is Partnering with the United Nations: The Social Work and Social Development Global Agenda.  The event focuses on innovative projects and issues related to International Social Work and the critical role social work plays in the international arena.

Students will also be attending the Global Social Work Student Conference, From Passion to Action, at Fordham University, where AMC senior social work students, Hector Perez and Ashley Maryyanek, will be presenting a program on their work in the Dominican Republic.  Fordham University offers a venue for social work students from around the world to gather together to learn and share ideas and information for best practice in the growing field of international social work.
