Part-Time Bus Drivers

Responsibilities include driving students and staff using the College bus to and from away games for the Athletics Department of Anna Maria College. A valid CDL Driver's license with a Bus Passenger Certificate is mandatory. A good driving record and reliability are also required.

Financial Aid Counselor

Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, this position encompasses a full range of Financial Aid responsibilities including but not limited to:

  1. Downloading, processing, and verifying all ISIRS
  2. Conducting and processing Entrance and Exit Counseling
  3. Processing Parent Plus Loan Applications
  4. Processing and Reconciling all Federal Loans
  5. Counseling parents and students to the availability of Financial Aid programs, eligibility requirements, application processes, costs, and indebtedness.
  6. Reviewing student files, packaging awards and making adjustments as necessary.
  7. Assisting in preparing various reports to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal, state and institutional guidelines.
  8. Assisting with any projects or additional responsibilities in the office as needed
 
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is required, one to three years directly related experience in financial aid required, knowledge and skill in automated processing, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and ability to effectively use computer technology in all operations. Some weekend or evening hours required. Group presentations to students and families throughout the year are required.

Reference and Instruction Librarian

Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts seeks a forward-thinking librarian with innovative ideas and approaches to research and instructional services. Reporting to the Library Director, this position works with faculty to develop information literacy sessions and identify needs and opportunities for outreach to academic departments. A main focus of this position is collaboration with instructors to develop, deliver, and assess instruction for First Year Experience students. This position also provides outreach to non-academic departments such as student housing, to develop events and services that promote the Library. Reference and Instruction Services are a priority, but working with library staff to provide excellent customer service and a variety of library duties is also required.

Qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited library school, experience with automated library systems, previous experience in an academic library, and teaching library instruction classes is required.

Assistant/Associate Director of Transfer Admissions

Reporting to the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, this position encompasses a full range of admission responsibilities including but not limited to: implementing the College's recruitment plan and meeting the benchmarks for recruiting students.

As part of the recruitment process, evaluating the qualifications of prospective students and making admissions recommendations, which are in the best interest of the student and the College.
 
Working specifically on transfer student recruitment including attending fairs/visits, evaluating the qualifications of the prospective transfer students and making admissions recommendations and coordinating transcript evaluations.
 
Working with transfer counselors at targeted two year colleges as well as faculty in specific majors at those colleges in order to develop strong relationships with each college.
 
Working collaboratively with Anna Maria College faculty in the development and promotion of articulation agreements that are program specific.
 
Continually making on-going personal contact with students, parents and counselors as needed to meet enrollment benchmarks.
 
Conducting presentations that require travel to promote the College to various groups of prospective students, parents, and guidance personnel.
 
Conducting personal interviews with prospective students in order to familiarize them with the College's programs and policies, and to assess their interest and goals.
 
Working with the College database system to accurately record student information.
 
Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual preferred, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and flexibility to work evenings and some weekends including overnight travel as required. Strong computer skills, experience with relational databases and research methodology helpful. Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Instructional Design Specialist

Anna Maria College seeks an Instructional Design Specialist to lead the development of courses in its newly developed online program in business administration as well as support faculty in using technology in the classroom. The successful individual will be responsible for working with faculty to design and develop online courses, as well as educate faculty in best practices and innovation in online learning. The Design Specialist will also support faculty in implementing instructional technology in traditional formats.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with instructors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and administrative departments to develop online courses that will support student learning;
  • Provide consultation to faculty as needed in best practices in Instructional Design and course development;
  • Implement project management processes to establish timelines and effectively meet project deadlines;
  • Maintain current knowledge of instructional design and professional issues;
  • Conduct workshops for faculty (both in online and traditional programs);
  • Help lead the implementation of quality assurance assessment processes; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, and (3) years related experience; master's degree preferred. The successful candidate will:
  • exhibit solid knowledge of instructional design theories and principles, including emerging trends and best practices
  • possess outstanding instructional design skills
  • have ability to conduct workshops and training programs for faculty
  • provide evidence of excellent analytic skills to evaluate needs and develop solutions for development of unique online programs
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrate proven ability to consult with faculty, connect with students, and interact with all levels of university employees.

Resident Director

A Resident Director (RD), as a member of the Residence Life Staff, holds a professional, 10 month live-in position reporting to the Coordinator of Residential Education (CORE). The RD is the professional res ponder to emergencies and other situations as well as a role model and mentor to students. The RD supports and fosters the mission of the College and of Residence Life. S/he is expected to uphold and follow College and residence hall policies and procedures and State and Federal laws.
 
The essence of a College experience is the creation of an atmosphere wherein individuals can succeed academically as well as develop personally. The RD works with the Residence Life Staff, Paxton Police, and other AMC staff to provide that living environment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Resident Director will work 16 office hours per week with additional responsibilities related to program attendance and on call duty rotation.
• Evening and weekend work is required.
• The Resident Director is responsible for supporting the mission of the College by developing environments conducive to student learning and academic success, respecting, appreciating, and advocating for the diversity of our student population, and supporting the holistic development of up to 800 residents.
• Duties include but are not limited to: supervision of Resident Assistants; liaison with administrators, faculty and staff; the development of specialized programming in the halls; support of large-scale campus events; general housing responsibilities; and active participation in the disciplinary process.
• The Resident Director actively participates in staff recruitment, selection and training activities, management of residence hall facility and occupancy issues, and the on call duty rotation responding to emergencies.

Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

Anna Maria College is accepting applications for its vacant Head Men's Lacrosse Coaching position. This position will report directly to the Athletic Director and is part-time, including a stipend.
 
The Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of running an NCAA Division 3 Lacrosse program including off and on campus recruiting, equipment inventory, off season practices, academic monitoring, and player evaluations.
