Part-Time Bus Drivers

Anna Maria College invites applications for part-time bus drivers needed for the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons (no summers). Responsibilities include driving students and staff using the College bus to and from away games for the Athletics Department of Anna Maria College. A valid CDL Driver's license with a Bus Passenger Certificate is mandatory. A good driving record and reliability are also required.

Financial Aid Counselor - Part-Time

Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, this position encompasses a full range of Financial Aid responsibilities including but not limited to:

Assisting the Director of Financial Aid in the administration of all aspects of the financial aid process. Supporting in the administration of federal, state and institutional aid programs and counseling of students and parents.

Responsibilities also include:
> Monitoring and responding to all financial aid telephone and e-mail messages
> Ordering all office supplies for financial aid
> Responsible for all areas of the Federal work Study Program
> First responder for in-coming telephone calls for financial aid
> Meeting with a certain percentage of students and families for financial aid counseling
> Assisting in packaging awards during high processing times
> Ensuring students and parents customer satisfaction
> Performing other related duties as assigned

Financial Aid Counselor will also be responsible for all state grant programs and rehabilitation grants. Verifying students housing: resident or commuter status and ensuring the financial aid budget reflects the proper housing status each semester.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is preferred, financial aid experience preferred, ability to effectively use computer technology in all operations, knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets, excellent oral and written communication skills necessary, the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to multi-task and complete responsibilities in a timely manner. This part-time position may eventually be converted to a full-time position.

Director of Fire Science, Emergency Services and Emergency Management

This position is a full time administrative position in a robust undergraduate Fire Science Program that offers a FESHE- compliant curriculum to traditional on ground students and to continuing education and graduate students on-line, a bachelor's program in Paramedic Science, and a newly developed undergraduate program in Emergency Management.

Duties: Oversees all aspects of the emergency management, fire science and paramedic programs at Anna Maria College, including:

• recruiting new students,
• advising students,
• assessment of all programs
• development of curriculum,
• teach one course per semester,
• participate on various college committees, and
• represent the college at various seminars and conferences pertaining to emergency services.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree in fire science, emergency management, public safety, public administration, or emergency management. Preferred experience includes teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels both on ground and online, curriculum development, and student assessment. Administrative experience in a related field is also preferred.

Field Placement Coordinator

School: Education
Reports to: Dean, School of Education; Assoc. Vice President for Academic Affairs

The School of Education at Anna Maria College invites applications for the position of Field Placement Coordinator. This is a full-time position. The Field Placement Coordinator will work with schools and/or school districts to arrange formal field-based placements for student teacher candidates, as well as required field-based pre-student teaching placements in undergraduate and graduate pedagogy courses, to meet state teacher licensure requirements. The Coordinator will provide supportive resources and services needed to stabilize and improve the candidates' eventual chances of securing a career in the teaching profession or related career and will follow-up with job placements and State reporting requirements.

Essential Functions:

Field placement administration and duties include but are not limited to:
• Oversight of all components of field placement appointments for undergraduate & graduate education candidates in the School of Education Teacher Licensure and Non-Licensure Programs, including early field experience locations that are linked to coursework, and lengthier student teaching & internship assignments.
• Assist the Teacher Certification Officer with the hiring, appointment, professional development and evaluation of college supervisors.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings for a variety of orientation and registration sessions for student teachers & education interns and their supervisors regarding field placement policies and requirements.
• Initiate, track, review, and monitor status of undergraduate and graduate student teacher placements and all associated paperwork including CORI, fingerprinting, request letters, forms, and notification letters.
• Work with PK-12 schools and other educational agencies to meet regularly with school administrators, particularly urban and high needs districts, to develop and maintain relationships that will increase high quality placement opportunities and foster vibrant partnerships.
• Maintain the Field Placement databases and assist Teacher Certification Officer with State reporting.

Qualifications:
• Master Degree
• Educational background and experience working within school settings
• Areas of expertise which would most serve Anna Maria College would include background to teach courses and/or supervise internships/field experiences as needed

Administrative Coordinator

School: Education, Humanities, Justice and Social Sciences, Visual and Performing Arts
Reports to: Dean, School of Education; Assoc. Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Schools of Education, Humanities, Justice and Social Sciences, Visual and Performing Arts at Anna Maria College invite applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator. This is a full-time position. The Administrative Coordinator will perform the duties assigned by the Associate Vice President or by others of the college. The duties include, but are not limited to: providing information to prospective and current students, handling all incoming calls, accurate tracking of inquiries and student status, and performing diversified clerical duties requiring knowledge of the departmental procedures.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Provide information and first contact to prospective students and follow-up
• Maintain budgets
• Coordinate, prepare materials, and record minutes of meetings
• Maintain contact with pre-practicum students, practicum students, supervising practitioners and college supervisors
• Provide grant management support
• Serve as liaison for school partnerships
• Monitor the progress of graduate and continuing education students
• Monitor and follow up with non-matriculated students
• Maintain contact with Alumni
• Provide assistance to Field Placement Coordinator with correspondence, surveys, practicum evaluations, and other duties
• Create flyers and newsletters
• Prepare materials for accreditation
• Prepare materials for annual reports
• House and update forms, documents and other materials for distribution to students
• Support programs and faculty in Schools of Education, Justice and Social Sciences, Humanities, and Visual and Performing Arts

Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Database Management
• Administrative Experience in Higher Education (preferred)
• Knowledge of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (preferred)
