Full-Time Philosophy Faculty (Tenure Track)
Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Philosophy. The position responsibilities include:  teaching four courses per semester in undergraduate and graduate philosophy with primary responsibility to support the Core Curriculum, advising students, engaging in scholarly activity, and serving on college committees.

Qualifications include a Ph.D., in Philosophy with demonstrated love of teaching, the development of a teaching and scholarly agenda supportive of and consistent with the college's Catholic Identity, and an ability to contribute to the broader programs of the college.  Candidates will also demonstrate a willingness to engage in student recruitment and retention and support the development of programs and initiatives in an adaptable and collegial manner.  Candidates demonstrating an interest in classical philosophies and their influence on Catholic philosophies such as the work of Aquinas, Duns Scotus, and Marcel are strongly encouraged to apply.

Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Health Sciences.

This full-time faculty position is available in the Division of Sciences to teach primarily undergraduate students and specifically those majoring in health sciences. The Division maintains a collegial and highly collaborative atmosphere to promote student learning and on-going curriculum development.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree in biology or in a health-related field. Teaching responsibilities are varied and may include general biology, anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, nutrition, or pharmacology. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarship, and service to the college and the wider community.

Anna Maria College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Education. This is a full-time position beginning in the fall of 2012 with responsibilities to include: coordinating moderate special education licensure programs, teaching courses, advising students, supervising student teachers, engaging in scholarly activity, and serving on college committees.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree preferred. Pre-K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.

Full-time Faculty Associate Professor of Graphic Design (Tenure Track)
Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Graphic Design.

Reporting to the Chair of Visual and Performing Arts, the Assistant Professor of Graphic Design will serve as the primary full-time instructor for Graphic Design. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching Graphic Design courses, advising all students within Graphic Design, coordinating the graphic design computer lab, cultivating and supervising field-placement sites, serving on appropriate college committees, attending recruiting events, and working with students to create an SGA Club for Art Students.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will hold at least a MFA, MGD, or MDes and should be a professionally active designer with a record of creative achievement. In addition, they should possess the expertise to teach a range of Graphic Design courses for print and electronic media, and photography utilizing Macintosh computers and Adobe software. Some experience in Web, Interactive, Time-based, and Motion Graphics Design is preferred. Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is desirable.

Full-Time Nursing Faculty (Tenure Track Eligible)
Anna Maria College realizes the importance of the nursing profession in these challenging times, which is why we are seeking exceptional nursing faculty to train our students to be leaders in their field.  AMC has been offering nursing programs for over 30 years and is looking for skilled nursing professionals to join its growing team. The College’s graduating nursing students are not only able to pass the NCLEX exam, but are able to use their critical thinking and nursing skills to provide the best patient care possible. Clinical partnerships with the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and Saint Vincent Hospital, among others, provide the venues for faculty to train the nurses of the future.

 Full-time nursing faculty positions are currently available in the College’s BSN program.  Responsibilities include teaching clinical/classroom nursing courses, advising students, curriculum development and committee work. Eligibility for a Massachusetts RN License and Doctorate required (doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply).
