Welcome from the Vice President for Academic Affairs
When I arrived at AMC for my first interview, the small campus and friendly community made me feel right at home. As I explored the College I became even more enamored with its mission and values-based curriculum. The College’s focus on providing professional preparation with a strong liberal arts foundation really resonated with me and I was extremely pleased when I was given the opportunity to join Dr. Calareso and his team.
Through the committed work of the faculty, Anna Maria College has established many great academic programs that are helping students hone their professional skills while learning how to think critically about complex issues. With this excellent foundation, the College can continue to grow its degree program offerings for undergraduates and expand on-line opportunities for adult students.
Another important goal for me is helping the faculty to stay on top of the fast-paced world of technology. The Center for Teaching Excellence has laid the groundwork for keeping the faculty up-to-date with the latest teaching practices. With the help of the Center, I plan to look for opportunities to keep our professors energized and prepared to teach to our students’ ever-changing needs.
