Students seeking a degree in environmental science first develops a broad science literacy through courses in biology, ecology, and chemistry. This foundation builds a scientific understanding of how the global environment functions, and provides the technical tools required for analysis and assessment of environmental change. The work of advanced students focuses on interactions between human activities and natural systems, and emphasizes the essential interdisciplinary nature of environmental science. |
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
In addition to the college academic requirements, the environmental science major must complete at least 16 Division IV courses, of which eight are required. Of the remaining eight electives, at least six must be upper level. |
