Residence Life
AMC has an active residential life program that fosters and supports a student's personal, social, spiritual, and academic development. Over 600 AMC students live in the five residence halls: Madonna Hall, Alumni Hall, Coghlin Hall, South Hall, and St. Anne Hall, a new suite-style facility. The Residence Life Office is committed to a philosophy of education that rests on a Roman Catholic value system fostering not only the intellectual but also the personal growth of each student. To fulfill its commitment to this philosophy, Residence Life attempts to create a residence hall environment that encourages personal responsibility, respect, religious and moral sensitivity, social awareness and freedom of thought. Residential living provides the opportunity for each student to live and participate in a community committed to the Mission of the College and the ideals of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

There are Resident Assistants (RAs) living in each hall. The RAs are upper class students, who have been selected and trained to help students build a living and learning environment in each hall. They are there to answer any questions, report maintenance concerns, refer residents to campus resources and keep everyone informed of campus news. There is an RA on duty every night and all weekend to assist residents.
Living in Madonna Hall are Resident Coordinators (RCs). These are live-in professionals, who are on call in the evening and weekends for emergencies. The RCs all have full-time jobs outside of their RC responsibilities.
The Area Coordinator, Sarah Brethauer, is a full-time professional in Residence Life. Her office and home are in South Hall. Sarah supervises South, Alumni, and Coghlin Halls. She is the advisor to the RHC.
The Assistant Director of Residence Life supervises the Residence Life staff. The Assistant Director, Michelle Chapman, has her office on the first floor of St. Anne Hall and lives in Alumni Hall. She is responsible for most aspects of the residential experience.
Residence Life falls under the auspices of the Associate Dean of Campus Life. Should you have a question or concern about living on campus, you may direct it to Elizabeth Bonneau, (508) 849-3459, ebonneau@annamaria.edu. Mrs. Bonneau has her office in the Residence Life Office in St. Anne Hall.

This is a great leadership opportunity and a chance to have a say in what happens where you live. Officers are elected and serve as the RHC executive board. All RHC meetings are open to all resident students. Any questions contact the RHC advisor, Area Coordinator Sarah Brethauer at sbrethauer@annamaria.edu.
Purpose Statement: The RHC seeks to develop both the leaders within the halls and help make on-campus living more of a community through programming and services offered.
