Despite the weather, a crowd of students, faculty, staff and first responders from area communities presented a live fire science demonstration to evaluate a new fire extinguishing product and its real-life applications.

Fire Science Students Test New Firefighting Technology

Wednesday, October 28

The Italy trip was once again led by Theology Assistant Professor Michael Lombardo, Ph.D. A group of students spent a total of three weeks in Rome. Like trips of years past, the experience was life-changing for most and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

As part of the trip, students were able to take a class to fulfill a general education requirement for Catholic Social Teachings, while Honors Program students applied the trip to their cultural immersion requirement.

Director of the Molly Bish Center and Forensic Criminology Professor, Dr. Ann Marie Mires, instructs her Forensic Archeology students as they lay out a grid in order to map a mock search site for an exercise using the latest radar technology to detect underground anomalies.

Anna Maria College’s Art Center Gallery at Miriam Hall serves as the venue for numerous exhibitions throughout the year. Annual student and faculty exhibitions, as well as historical and contemporary exhibitions support the intellectual and cultural life of Anna Maria College and the surrounding community.
