Technology and learning techniques make the difference when it comes to information delivery and retention. This masters degree will hone instructional leadership, allowing graduate students to make the most of their instructional capabilities through educational technology. Ultimately, the program provides the core knowledge to create engaging learning experiences that lead to enhanced performance and outcomes among students with diverse learning styles and capacities.

A crowd of more than 100 students, faculty, staff and first responders from area communities assembled for a live burn demonstration orchestrated Anna Maria’s Fire Protection Systems students. The goal of the demonstration was to illustrate the life-saving difference sprinklers play when fire strikes.

AMC students enjoyed the “classroom” of Rome, Italy during Anna Maria College’s 2014 Summer Study Aboard program. Theology professor Michael Lombardo, PhD, will again lead the Italy trip in summer 2015, while fellow Humanities professor Lisa LeBlanc, PhD, led the Study Abroad program in Ireland this spring.

Anna Maria College’s Art Center Gallery at Miriam Hall serves as the venue for numerous exhibitions throughout the year. Annual student and faculty exhibitions, as well as historical and contemporary exhibitions support the intellectual and cultural life of Anna Maria College and the surrounding community.

President Mary Lou Retelle
 
Mary Lou Retelle began her role as Anna Maria College's President on June 1, 2015. Retelle was named president following nearly a year of service as the College's interim president. She was promoted to interim president in July 2014, following three years as Anna Maria's Executive Vice President. As Executive Vice President since 2011, she oversaw the college functions related to admission and financial aid, student life and athletic programs. The Inauguration Celebration for President Retelle is set for Friday, September 18, 2015. A 1 p.m. Mass will be followed by a 3 p.m. Installation.
 
Including her three years at AMC, President Retelle brings to this presidential appointment nearly 25 years of experience as an executive administrator at academic institutions. Most recently, she served as an enrollment consultant for Suffolk University following a total of 15 years at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. Positions held at Merrimack include Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services, Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. She also served as Director of Admission and Enrollment Management at State University of New York, Potsdam from 1991 to 1994.
 
President Retelle obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Merrimack College and her Master of Education in Student Personnel Services from Northeastern University in Boston.
