Last week I shared information from an article by Sanford Unger entitled, “7 Major Misperceptions About the Liberal Arts.” I received a number of e-mails that all seemed to agree with Unger’s position. I thought I would share a bit more of his perceptions and my ideas regarding some of his proposed “misperceptions.”
“Misperception No. 1: A liberal-arts degree is a luxury that most families can no longer afford. ‘Career education’ is what we now must focus on.”
