What is Urban Night Out?

A night for new and existing students to experience the fashion, health and beauty services provided by local businesses in Central Massachusetts’ urban culture

Focus: Health, Beauty, Fashion and Fitness

Objective:
We are excited to put a Fresh, Fun and Exciting and spin on a vending opportunity via Urban Night Out. Our Goal is to promote an entertaining, self-educating, social and safe environment for students and supporters!!!!

The Urban Night Out Tour will highlight Fashion, Beauty and Mental/Spiritual/Physical Well-Being as they relate to the dynamic college student.

Beneficiary:
This event is geared toward the student that is planted in an environment foreign to their home setting, looking to recreate some of their known comforts and acclimate into a new school and new city.  Some returning students may have little knowledge of these resources.  Thus
, we open the fair to all students: freshmen, sophomores and upper-classmen.

Vendors:
We are looking for Vendors to provide goods and services that many of these students are missing out on.  In addition, we ask that they be able to answer some of the following questions:
Health and Fitness: ”Which gyms provide the latest zumba, kettlebell and yoga classes?”
Hair: “Where can I get a relaxer or a fresh line up?”
Fashion: “Where is the local sneaker store? I need those Jordan’s in a certain color?”
Wellness: “I need a new church away from home, where can I find an A.M.E. congregation?”
Entertainment: “Where can I go to have a safe and fun night?”
Cuisine: “I am dying for some Caribbean food, know any good restaurants?”
Culture: “Mass has a great history behind it, know of any good museums in the area?”

These are just a few of the obstacles urban students face as they begin their collegiate journey.  It may not be expected of the college to provide all of the resources needed by a student but they can help in connecting the pieces, especially at a STUDENT FRIENDLY PRICE = FREE!
