The Student Government Association (SGA) is comprised of all students, who have registered at Anna Maria College and who have paid the Student Activities fee. The Student Council consists of the thirty one students, who have been elected to represent different aspects of student life at Anna Maria College. The Student Council of the Student Government Association is the official representative of the student body, the link between administration, faculty, and the students. The Student Council meets every week and any student is welcome to attend these meetings.

Many of the student activities are planned and sponsored by the Student Council of the SGA. Some of these are yearly traditional events, such as Halloween trick or treating for the children in Paxton, the semi-formal, Spring Weekend, and JFK night. Other events sponsored by SGA include dances with DJ’s or live bands, trips to sporting events off campus, bowling with the faculty, faculty-student jeopardy games, stress-free nights, African Drummers, international dinners, retreats, and educational presentations.

The Student Council shall consist of the following voting members: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Publicist, Two Student Academic Affairs Representatives, Four Social Representatives, Two Cultural Representatives, Two Commuter Student Representatives, Two Resident Student Representatives, Four Class Representatives, Two Food Service Representatives, Two Athletic Representatives, Two Student Wellness Representatives, Two Spiritual Life Representatives, and Two Yearbook Representatives.

The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Publicist.
