Anna Maria College acknowledges the accomplishments of the following members of its faculty:

Julienne Ugalde, assistant professor of human development and human services and education, will present a 90-minute session on Family Military Deployment: Engaging Children and Families with Coping Strategies and Visual Art Activities that Promote Resilience at the National Association for the Education of Young Children's 2013 Annual Conference, November 20–23, in Washington, DC. 

Andrew McCarthy, assistant professor of humanities and theology, has published two works: a book review of The True Cost of Low Prices: The Violence of Globalization, co-written with AMC Honors Student Nicole Harvell, published in Catholic Books Review; and an article in the spring 2012 (Vol. 4, No. 2) issue of Currents in Teaching and Learning, entitled “Designing Online Course Assignments for Student Engagement: Strategies and Best Practices.”  

Marc Tumeinski, lecturer in core curriculum and pastoral studies, recently received certification in online teaching and learning through the Catholic Distance Learning Network of the Seminary Department of the National Educational Association. Mr. Tumeinski also published a book review of Catholic Social Learning: Educating the Faith That Does Justice, published in the summer 2013 issue of Seat of Wisdom (Issue 7).
