Anna Maria College announces that Bob Appis, former Fedex senior manager, and Erik Wexler, President and CEO of Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts have recently joined its  Board of Trustees.

 Bob Appis, of Cape Neddick, ME, is currently the owner of The Egg and I restaurant in Ogunquit, ME, which he and his wife purchased in 2001. Prior to running his own business, Mr. Appis had a long and successful corporate career. He spent the majority of his career with FedEx in a variety of senior management positions including Managing Director of the Northeast District. After leaving FedEx, Mr. Appis served as Vice President and General Manager of Merck-Medco National RX, Executive Vice President of Merit Behavioral Care Corporation, Vice President and General Manager of RCN Telecommunications, and Chief Operating Officer of Medical Logistics, Inc.

Mr. Appis earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst his Master of Business Administration from AMC. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, in which he served as a Green Beret in the Special Forces at the rank of Sergeant.

Erik G. Wexler of Shrewsbury, MA currently serves as the President and CEO of St. Vincent Hospital.  Prior to his appointment at St. Vincent Hospital, he served for seven years as the Senior Vice President of Northwest Hospital and Lifebridge Health in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Wexler has also served as the Executive Vice President and COO of Midstate Medical in Meridian, CT and as a Vice President at the Greater Waterbury Health Network and Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT.  He began his career as an Advancement officer at the University of Hartford.

Mr. Wexler holds both his Bachelor’s degree and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.
