Travis Maruska, MFA, showcases the creative side of Anna Maria College both in and out of the classroom.  A  full-time member of the faculty since 2008, Professor Maruska joined AMC after working in Hollywood for four years at Creative Artists Agency and a number of smaller production companies.   As a screenwriter, his scripts have been quarter and semi-finalists in the esteemed Nicholls competition, which helped him acquire professional representation for a number of his projects.

Professor Maruska obtained his BFA in theatre arts from the University of North Dakota and his MFA in screenwriting from Chapman University. He has taught at Emerson College, as well as Northern Essex Community College. At Anna Maria, Professor Maruska teaches a number of media communication and writing courses and mentors aspiring film artists through the Film Club.
