Applying for Financial Aid

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

AMC requires that full-time day undergraduate students in a Bachelor's Degree program fill out only the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as the FAFSA. The FAFSA determines a student's need for financial aid by examining the family's income and assets.
The quickest approach to filing the FAFSA is by completing it online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Before completing it online, remember to register both student and parent for pin numbers at www.pin.ed.gov. Remember to include our school code #002117, so that your information may be sent to Anna Maria electronically.
The FAFSA can also be filed using a paper application. If you would like to request a paper application, please call the Federal Student Aid Hotline at 1-800-4FEDAID.

Deadline for Application for Financial Aid
Anna Maria's priority deadline for incoming undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students is March 1st. The deadline for returning students is May 1st. Remember filing on time ensures maximum financial aid eligibility. The online FAFSA takes approximately one – two weeks to process, while the paper FAFSA takes four – five weeks

Graduate and Continuing Education
There are three steps necessary for Graduate and Continuing Education students who wish to receive financial aid. They are:
1. Be formally accepted into a program of study,
2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov, and
3. Complete the Anna Maria College Application Form.

Please note that you must be enrolled at least half-time (two courses (six credits) per semester for undergraduates; one course (three credits) per semester for graduates) in order to be eligible for financial aid.

Satisfactory Academic Progress
In order to maintain financial aid eligibility, students are required to meet the academic standards as outlined in our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. Please refer to the links below for more information.
