To be considered for admission and matriculation into a Graduate Program, a potential student must apply for a degree or certificate by completing the following requirements:

  1. Provide evidence of an earned undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university, or an equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution outside the United States.  Note:  All International applicants should review the steps provided in the following link <Mike whatever link you make for the graduate international student page>
  2. For all programs (except for Social Work) submit two references or two letters of recommendations or one of each. References and letter should support your candidacy to do graduate work including: names, phone numbers, email addresses and employers of two people acquainted with the applicant's ability and aptitude for graduate study. In cases where a student may have been away from an academic setting for several years, employers and supervisors may be a reference.

    Social Work requires three letters of reference - two academic references from the last school of attendance and one from a non-relative (advanced standing students - one from the program director, one from the field director, and another from the field supervisor - if the field supervisor is not available a copy of the field evaluation may be submitted).
  1. Possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 and an undergraduate record that demonstrates your ability to be successful in graduate studies. For Social Work applicants, when applying for the full program and/or advanced standing, a GPA of 3.3 is requested to be waived from any course to be retaken.
  2. Provide, in writing, a personal statement (minimum 500 words) that demonstrates your commitment to graduate studies and reflects your writing skills.5. Submit a resume.
  3. Standardized testing - Although not required for admission, standardized testing such as MAT, GRE, or GMAT scores may be submitted for additional consideration.
  4. Pay $40 application fee


Note: Social Work applicants may be required to do a personal interview.

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study Program Admission Process
To be considered for admission and matriculation into a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, a potential student must apply for a degree or certificate by completing the following requirements:

  1. A letter of intent.
  2. Evidence of a master’s degree from an accredited degree-granting institution in the area of the CAGS program or closely related field.
  3. Submit two (2) reference letters, at least one (1) of which must be from a graduate school from which the applicant received the master’s degree (please provide all contact information).
