To graduate with honors a student must achieve a GPA of 3.9 for Summa Cum Laude, a GPA of 3.7 for Magna Cum Laude and a GPA of 3.5 for Cum Laude. Given the fact that finals end on Thursday this semester and that graduation is on Saturday morning, it is simply impossible to have grades submitted to the Registrar’s office and final GPAs calculated before graduation. As a result, honors cords will be handed out at graduation based on your record of academic achievement through the Fall 2008 semester. The final determination of honors, however, will be based on your entire undergraduate record at Anna Maria College and include the Fall 2009 semester/Spring 2010. Once final grades have been recorded, if you have achieved honors it will be so designated on your transcript and degree. Also, be advised that you will receive your degree from the Registrar’s Office through the mail by mid July. Please make sure that the Alumni Office has your correct address on file by completing the Address Update form, this is the address that your degree will be shipped. |
