The Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology(I/O Psychology) blends coursework from the fields of counseling psychology and business. The degree offers practical and research-based learning that prepares students to apply the principles of psychology to organizational and leadership challenges. The I/O Psychology program offers flexibility in designing a unique course of study for each graduate student.
Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology is the scientific study of the workplace. Rigor and methods of psychology are applied to issues of critical relevance to business, including talent management, coaching, assessment, selection, training, organizational development, performance, and work-life balance.
Industrial/Organizational Psychology (I/O Psychology) is the fastest growing career area as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor. Between 2012 and 2022, jobs in this field are expected to grow by 53%. The starting salary for a master’s level consultant in 2012 was $65,000. The median annual salary was $80,000.
