Job Opportunities

Public Safety Officer

 Anna Maria College is seeking Public Safety Officers to work one to two shifts/week as on call employees. The campus has an unarmed, non-warranted force consisting of five full time Officers and a reserve list of 8 – 12 Officers. The Officer shall work to enhance the safety and security of the AMC community through preventive foot patrols, proactive problem-solving, positive conflict resolution, policy enforcement and acting as a resource. The Officer shall show respect and compassion towards others and shall preserve the dignity and rights of each individual. 

 
Qualifications include a high school diploma and one year of professional experience in a public safety services field. A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field and/or police academy training is preferred. Officers must be able to physically respond in a timely manner without assistance to situations in all campus locations, visually assess situations and give/hear verbal directions. Officers must have a valid driver’s license and must pass a background check which will include a CORI.

Marketing Enrollment Specialist

 

The Marketing Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing and recruiting an identified case load of prospective students, attending local high school college fairs, coordinating enrollment marketing materials, special events, and student volunteers, and assisting in updating the enrollment data base. Under the guidance of the Admissions Coordinator, specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruiting students, representing AMC at local high school college fairs, working to ensure that all enrollment materials and the website are updated and revised as appropriate, maintaining a professional image for the admissions area, and  providing Guidance Counselors with updated information. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or five-plus years of related work experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a confidential setting, demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and must possess a high level of customer service skills.

Part-time Library: Evening Circulation Supervisor

The Mondor-Eagen Library at Anna Maria College is seeking an enthusiastic, service oriented person to provide quality library service to our users on Tuesday evenings, from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. during the regular academic calendar, and 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. during final exam periods.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff the Circulation Desk, oversee general operation of the library, supervise Work-Study student assistants, provide directional and informational assistance, interpret library policies and procedures, open/close the library as needed, other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Library experience required, academic library experience preferred.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Punctuality, dependability, and attention to detail.
Experience with an automated library system required, experience with Millennium circulation software and the C/W MARS network preferred.
Familiarity with computer programs such as e-mail, Word, Excel, searching the Internet, and willingness to become familiar with our databases.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Available to substitute for other shifts.

Part time Head Women’s Soccer Coach

Part time Head Women’s Soccer Coaching Position. Soccer Coach’s responsibilities include: recruiting students for the Anna Maria College NCAA Division III soccer team; conditioning; conducting all practices, coaching the games, scouting opponents, team fund raising, complying with all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.  Bachelor’s Degree, experience coaching soccer required.

General Maintenance Worker II

Work Hours: Day Shift (7am to 3:30am)

 
Performs maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
 
  • Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble
  • Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts
  • Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
  • Cleans and lubricates parts
  • Orders replacement parts
  • Inspects completed repairs
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Requisitions new parts and equipment
  • May repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps,  conveyors, belts, fans, and air conditioners
