Anna Maria College Receives $10,000 Grant for Science Equipment
Paxton, MA (February 8, 2010) Anna Maria College announces that it has received a $10,000 grant from the Hoche-Scofield Foundation. AMC plans to use the funds to purchase dissecting and compound microscopes for students studying the sciences at the College. Susan Swedis, Ph.D., Chair of the Division of Environmental, Natural and Technological Sciences, will be the project director for this grant.
“On behalf of the Anna Maria College Community, I extend my sincere appreciation to the Hoche-Scofield Foundation for its generous contribution,” comments Jack P. Calareso, Ph.D., President of AMC. “This grant will allow our students to expand their knowledge and graduate with the expertise they need to pursue a successful career in the sciences.”
Anna Maria College received a $12,000 grant from the Hoche-Scofield Foundation in 2008 for its Learning Center.
