The Anna Maria College Department of Public Safety operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Public Safety Officers strive to provide the campus with a safe and secure environment. The services they provide include preventive patrol, crime prevention, escort service, fire maintenance and crime investigations. The office of Public Safety is located upstairs in the Bishop Flanagan Campus Center.
With your assistance, we will work to provide you a safe environment in which to pursue your academic studies and campus life. We need your cooperation in order to meet our goal of a crime-free campus. There is no secret to crime prevention. The basic tips are: stay alert, think smart, and use common sense.
In the event of a potential or actual crime on campus, Public Safety can be reached directly by calling the cell phone number 508-494-9010.
The campus is well lit, but if you must walk to an area in which you feel vulnerable, you can simply call for an escort by using any campus "house phone" to dial "456" for the Officer on Duty. If you are driving on campus and do not have access to a phone, you can stop at the Campus Center and inform the on-duty Public Safety Officer of your request. The Public Safety Officer will meet you at your location and escort you to your destination.
