Not-for-Profit and Non-governmental Organizations (NGO) Management encompasses a wide range of skills and career opportunities. In not-for-profit organizations and NGO’s, doing business today means meeting payroll, providing health insurance, managing staff, maintaining facilities and minimizing risks and liabilities. Not-for-profit professionals are increasingly asked to deal with these matters and to handle them with CEO-type efficiency. These demands have created a need for dedicated, well-trained professionals with real-world business management skills. Our rigorous but flexible degree program will build your critical knowledge of business and Not-for-profit and NGO management. By using the latest technology, stressing the importance of integrity and engaging students with real-world business scenarios, our faculty will mentor students in a dynamic, well-rounded learning environment that prepares graduates for success in today’s business environment and beyond.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with the minor/concentration in Not-for-profit and NGO Management include classes that focus on business and its unique relationships to Not-for-profit and NGO organizations. Students take required business courses in accounting, economics, statistics, management, ethics, finance, marketing and business law. Additional courses cover accounting in not-for-profit organizations, finance in not-for-profit, not for profit fundraising and volunteer and contact management.
The Not-for-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization Management Minor/Concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration includes six courses of in-depth study that allow students to tailor the program to best fit their academic interests and objectives.
Students in the Not-for-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization Management Concentration will select 6 courses from the following options:
