Campus Princess Program

The Campus Princess Program was voted by students as the 2019 Organization of the Year.

It began in October, 2017, when Alyssa Banks, '21 founded this campus program. She established the program as a way to bring joy and happiness to children and their families who are in treatment for illnesses. Members of the Princess Program dress in princess costumes and travel to visit children in local hospitals, clinics and cancer centers.

Some of the places the program has spread their magic at include Boston hospitals Tufts Medical Center and Shriner's Hospital, Camp Sunshine in ME, Kennedy Donovan Center, Hasbro Children's Hospital, Bay State Children's Hospital and local organizations such as Why Me and Sherry's House.

The group also attends local events in costume and have been to the UMass Cancer Walk, the Boston Children's Eversource Walk, and Gillette Stadium's annual Buzz Off.

THANK YOU!

Every day, people like you play an important role in creating the Anna Maria experience. With your help, we met our April 24th, Day of Giving goal of 424 donors; alumni, students, parents, grandparents, friends, faculty, and staff came together and made the day a success. Whether your gift is used towards scholarship money for incoming students, technology to enhance the learning experience for online learners, or campus renovations to better support the needs of our growing student population, you are helping to support the next generation of leaders to discover themselves; to discover something greater.

While this campaign ended on April 24th, you can still make a gift to Anna Maria College. Would you like to see how your scholarship dollars benefit Anna Maria students?

VIBES Fashion Show

The VIBES Fashion Show was the first of its kind on the Anna Maria campus in more than four years. This entirely student-run event filled Zecco Auditorium and showcased some local entrepreneurs, among them - designers, makeup artists, student models, dance groups, rappers, singers, and a DJ.

The team of students who organized and ran the event were Dolapo Sanni, Cheri-Ann Extra, Deborah Joseph, Derona Beckford and Theodora Jean.

Students recently voted the VIBES Fashion Show (the name is an acronym for Vibrant, Intelligent, Bold, Energetic, Self) Program of the Year.

Anna Maria Reopens Pastoral Ministry Master's Program

The program is designed to help students who would like to deepen their faith and learn the skills necessary to become a faith leader. Marc Tumeinski, assistant professor of theology, said the College was reopening the graduate program to carry on the charism of Anna Maria's founders, the Sisters of St. Anne.
Already, 12 candidates are taking courses this spring and summer. The group is preparing for ordination as deacons in the Diocese of Worcester, and the program could be opened for catechetical leaders within the diocese, Tumeinski said.
The degree will enable graduates to teach religious education in a parish setting or theology in a school, work as a chaplain or pastoral associate in a medical setting, direct a campus ministry office, lead adult faith formation programs, or work as a pastoral associate within a parish.
Students in the four-year program may be eligible for a tuition discount for serving in parishes or Catholic schools in the Diocese of Worcester.

For more information on this program, please contact Marc Tumeinski at (508) 849 - 3414 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
