Students are invited to join United Way’s Day of Caring on Thursday, September 13th. Commit to this day where we will care for the city of Worcester and our local community. Day of Caring brings the entire Worcester area together to serve its needs and foster a commitment to service and caring. The day is held from 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Transportation is provided. Students are encouraged to eat breakfast before checking in at 8:00 a.m. Please find a list of available sites below. Volunteers will be painting the exterior of two buildings and demolishing four outdoor structures.

Dodge Park Work 30

Help Worcester Tree Initiative in our continual care of lovely Dodge Park. Because of the many volunteers who have helped the City of Worcester and WTI care for this park, there are maintained trails, a fruit espallier, an arboretum and 13 acres for the public to enjoy. Parks require a lot of care so the more who can help, the merrier. Projects will include trash pickup, plant trimming, trail maintenance and other light tasks. WTI staff will be present to help the team!

Lakeside Improvement 20 

Volunteers will paint the trellis at lakeside.

Facility Improvements - Great Brook Valley 120

Volunteers will be painting a playground, fencing and guardrail. Volunteers will also help remove raised bed planters.

Coes Pond Cleanup 20

Volunteers will be picking up trash around Coes Pond, Coes Overlook and Coes Hillside Conservation area. Many hands are needed to keep this natural resource pristine!

Anna Maria College 50 Various projects around campus, such as planting flowers.
