Service Opportunities
Volunteerism Through Campus Ministry
Responding to ethical issues and promoting projects that highlight peace and social justice, Campus Ministry sponsors programs and initiatives that underscore faith and justice as real components of everyday life on and off campus. Although about half of Anna Maria’s students are Catholic, Campus Ministry and service-focused efforts sponsored by all groups on campus are received by significant involvement from students of all faiths.

Anna Maria College Campus Ministry is proud to provide and support a wide variety of service opportunities with organizations such as:

Alternative Break Trips

Each year, during both winter and spring breaks, groups of approximately 15 students and staff travel out of state in order to spend a week serving others. These trips are often run in conjunction with organizations like Habitat for Humanity or Vacations That Give. Whether serving through manual labor or by fostering relationships with the local community members, students always return feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride from taking the opportunity to make a positive impact on another person's life.

In order to be considered for a trip, participants must be willing to commit to a financial contribution of $200, fundraising efforts, and weekly meetings leading up to their trip.

Applications are usually available by late September. Contact Melissa LaNeve at (508) 849-3205 or by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
