Anna Maria College announces that it will officially dedicate the latest addition to its campus community, The Information Commons, on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.   The Information Commons, which will become the  centerpiece of activity for AMC,  provides students and faculty with a high-tech environment that includes computer stations, expanded research capabilities and common areas that promote a sense of community and learning.  The new space also houses the School of Business, a Mac computer lab, a MIDI lab for students studying music, a help desk, information technology and the Center for Teaching Excellence.

The traditional library setting that was originally located in the space that now houses The Information Commons has been relocated to the lower level. The Mondor-Eagen Library contains the College’s literary collection in expandable book shelves, a circulation desk and a climate controlled archive.

The Information Commons was funded in part by the George I. Alden Trust, Hoche-Scofield Foundation, Stoddard Charitable Trust, George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, Ruth H. and Warren A. Ellsworth Foundation, the Fletcher Foundation, and the Esther's Dream Foundation.
