Professor DesRoches has work as a critical care nurse at Miriam Hospital for 10 years. She is board certified as a critical care RN and co-chair of the Miriam Hospital Evidenced Based Nursing Counsel, and worked on various hospital and unit level quality improvement projects. She transitioned to Nursing Leadership as a Nurse Supervisor at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence Rhode Island, then obtained a position as a Nurse Administrator at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. She is currently working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice Project and leading practice change initiatives to advance the profession of nursing.
