Health Administration

As the large baby-boomer population ages, the healthcare industry as a whole will see an increase in demand and strain on resources. The Health Administration major is an applied business degree that prepares students with the theoretical business foundations as well as the practical skills required for careers including health information management directors, business analysts, practices administrators, clinical directors, and health services managers.


Upon completion of a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Administration, students will demonstrate:Health Administration

  • Ability to problem-solve, synthesize, and apply relevant knowledge and skills relating to health administration
  • Effective communication skills with written and verbal information as well as present visual information, and excel working as an individual or in a team-based environment
  • Understanding of statistical analysis along with quantitative reasoning skills needed to develop effective and relevant business plans
  • Strong working-knowledge of the medical terminology and metrics used to analyze the financial and quality performance expectations of an organization in the health services industry
