Anna Maria College announces that registration is now open for its EMT-Basic course.  The course prepares students to take and pass the Massachusetts EMT-Basic Examination, while earning eight college credits. The course provides students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to provide high quality pre-hospital emergency care to vulnerable individuals. The EMT-Basic program at Anna Maria College is accredited by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services.

General requirements for the EMT-Basic course are a high school diploma or GED certificate. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age by the date of the state exam; be able to write, read, and understand English; have no physical or mental impairment that may interfere with the ability to provide care; and be free of any drug or alcohol addiction.
