Be part of the AMC community
Living on campus at Anna Maria College places you at the center of an active college community, with easy access to academic and co-curricular activities.

Each residence hall provides a unique on-campus living experience.  Numerous programs and activities are presented throughout the semester by our energetic, dedicated Residence Life staff. Residence Life allows Anna Maria students to build lasting friendships and memories within an environment that fosters diversity, leadership, and opportunities.

Residence life at Anna Maria College is guided by our philosophy:
  • To build a close-knit community based on the Roman Catholic value system, promoting the intellectual and personal growth of each student.
  • To encourage personal responsibility, respect, religious and moral sensitivity, social awareness, and freedom of thought in all student residents.
  • To support students who are committed to the Mission of the College and the ideals of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

Join a Living Learning Community!
Living Learning Communities (or LLCs for short) are intentional communities where students of common interests or academic backgrounds live together. Participation is optional and here at Anna Maria only a short application is needed in order to join a community. For the 2018-2019 academic year we are excited to offer two new communities in the first year and transfer area. We hope you will consider joining either our First Year Leadership Community or the Booker T. Washington Community.

Benefits of participating in a LLC include feeling an immediate sense of connection to both Anna Maria and your residential community. You will be living with students with similar interests and have opportunities to build close knit relationships with a variety of faculty and staff members. There will also be additional social programs throughout the year for your specific community and research shows that students who participate in LLCs often have a higher GPA and higher retention rate than their peers.

Booker T. Washington Living Learning Community
The Booker T. Washington Living Learning Community will serve as an extension of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. It will offer an opportunity to break bread and have conscious conversations with individuals from different walks of life while being shaped to be the change you hope to see in the world.  Apply to the Booker T. Washington Living Learning Community today!

First-Year Leadership Living Learning Community
This leadership-centered community brings together students to share in a fun and engaging exploration of leadership and personal leadership development. Members of this community will work together to identify their own leadership styles and abilities, enhance their brand and presence, and learn to think critically about leadership. With a purposeful focus on developing leadership identities and transferable skills, regardless of intended career or field of study, this community will set its members on a path to be the next generation of Anna Maria College leaders, both on campus, in the local community, and beyond. Participants in this living learning community will gain new experiences, connections, and a network of friends and mentors to carry with them throughout their time at Anna Maria and beyond.
