Anna Maria College Counseling Service

The Anna Maria College Counseling Service provides individual counseling to assist students as they pursue educational and personal goals with the ultimate goal of enhanced quality of life. Counseling is a collaborative process in which the student works with his or her clinician to improve his or her quality of life.

Initial assessment and evaluation are generally made in the first two sessions. For those students in need of more intensive on-going psychotherapy, referrals to practitioners and resources in the community are provided and costs for outside referrals are handled through the student's insurance carrier, and the long-term or intensive services are billed to the student's insurance.
